A little help, when you need it.

Yes. Start a memory or open a memory and choose Add audio, then Upload audio. Select a file, listen to the preview, edit its title, and save. You can repeat this to add more recordings to one memory. On iPhone, share a Voice Memo to Files first. Choose a standard audio export such as M4A, MP3 or WAV. Imports are limited to 90 MB per file; cloud transcription is limited to 25 MB. There is no fixed minute limit because formats vary: an 11-minute WAV may be too large, while an 11-minute M4A or MP3 often fits. For a longer video, export its audio as smaller M4A or MP3 parts, add each part as audio, and transcribe each recording. Wait for Backed up before removing your original file.

Open the site in Safari on iPhone and allow microphone access when asked. If access was previously denied, review the website’s microphone permission in Safari settings. Keep the app open while recording and saving; a phone call or locking the screen can interrupt browser recording.

No. Choose cloud transcription for a recording to avoid downloading a large model. Optional offline Parakeet is device-dependent and can take time to prepare. The original audio can be saved without a transcript.

Use the recording’s save options. For an audio file, choose Save to Files in the iPhone share sheet. For a video keepsake, choose Save Video to place it in Photos when Safari offers that option. A website cannot silently select your Camera Roll for you. Play the saved file and check its sound before deleting the original.

Wait for the app’s Backed up status. If it says saving, connecting, paused, or offline, leave the app open with an internet connection and check again. A recording visible on the phone is not proof that its cloud upload has finished.

Yes. Open Backup & privacy, choose Export local backup, and wait for the export to finish. Cloud-only files must download first. Store the resulting ZIP somewhere separate and verify its contents.

Open the live site in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. Removing that icon later does not delete your account or cloud content.

Open the invitation, sign in to your own account, and accept it. Return to your bookshelf and look under Shared with me. If a link has been closed or your access removed, ask its owner for help.

Use Forgot password on the sign-in screen and enter the email attached to your account. Check spam as well as your inbox. Never send your password to someone offering help.
